Megadeth’s David Ellefson And Comedian Don Jamieson To Host Grand Opening Of Ellefson Coffee Co. Storefront
Megadeth bassist David Ellefson’s boutique coffee brand, Ellefson Coffee Co., will launch the grand opening of its debut storefront between April 7-9 in Ellefson’s hometown of Jackson, M.N. The event will be hosted by Ellefson as well as comedian and ‘That Metal Show’ co-host, Don Jamieson.
“This is our heavy metal spring break in Jackson!” exclaimed Ellefson. “We look forward to hosting some really fun events centering around my career’s roots and history in the area, as well as a chance to see some amazing memorabilia from my friends in music, film and TV.”
“He’s (Ellefson) a Grammy-winning musician, thrash metal legend and now… Mega Barista!” added Don Jamieson. “When David and I spoke about this event I was immediately excited to jump on board. In fact, after a few cups of his Kenya Thrash blend I may just run all the way to Jackson, M.N.! So come raise a glass of java, and join us for this celebration of Ellefson Coffee.”
Among the store’s decor will be a special “Museum of Deth” display that will feature memorabilia from Ellefson’s personal collection, including his high school marching band uniform. There will also be artifacts from artists such as Machine Head, Max Cavalera, Coal Chamber and other
The store will sell several custom Ellefson Coffee Co. blends as well as other Ellefson Coffee products. Merchandise from Ellefson’s EMP Label Group will also be for sale on site.
In addition to the launch, Ellefson, Jamieson, and ‘Mysterious Minnesota’ author Adrian Lee will take guests on a paranormal tour of the Loon Lake Cemetery, which is said to be haunted by Mary Jane Terwilliger, an alleged witch who was supposedly beheaded in 1881 and who served as the inspiration behind Megadeth’s song, “Mary Jane.”
